Civil Litigation Attorney in Concord NH

New Hampshire Civil Litigation Attorneys Serving Clients Throughout New Hampshire

Not every civil litigation case can be settled by agreement. When you have to go to trial or pursue an appeal, you need experienced and effective New Hampshire civil litigation attorneys to present your case. McGrath Law Firm’s trial and appellate lawyers are former State and federal prosecutors, experienced civil litigators and seasoned criminal defense attorneys. Put their experience to work for you.

Civil cases involve conflicts between people or institutions such as businesses and manufacturers. A civil case usually begins when a person or organization decides a problem can’t be solved without the intervention of the courts. In civil cases, one (or more) of these persons or organizations files a complaint in court that starts a lawsuit. Divorce and related lawsuits such as child support, custody, property disputes and family law, make up large number of civil cases. Automobile collisions are another common kind of civil case accounting for many personal injury cases, also referred to as “tort” cases. Cases involving contracts are also frequent.

Civil Appeals

An appeal is not a retrial or a new trial of the case. The appeals courts do not usually consider new witnesses or new evidence. Appeals in either civil or criminal cases are usually based on arguments that there were errors in the trial’s procedure or errors in the judge’s interpretation of the law.

McGrath Law Firm’s litigation practice includes criminal defense and DUI defense, personal injury and product liability law, family law, business and corporate law, employment law, worker’s compensation and social security disability law, real estate and municipal law, as well as estate and probate law.
Our Attorneys are experienced civil litigators and seasoned criminal defense attorneys; put their experience to work for you.
